21 students from 4 different secondary schools and 6 ICT teachers from Luweero Diocese travelled together to Jinjja and learnt a lot about WordPress – a mighty and often used Web Authoring tool to create and maintain Webpages – and how to use it in community.
Many different speakers from Nigeria, Uganda, Kamerun, Spain, US and Bangladesh talked about their work, programming and business within WordPress.
Some of our students were actively involved in installing WP and creating new Website for their school. We all benefitted a lot and the young people dived into the wide world and job opportunities within WP communities.
At the end of the day we had a lot of fun at the Source of the Nile with cake cutting and boattrip.
The trip was organized by ICT team of Luweero Diocese Education Department and completely sponsored by coworkers Germany.
Glory be to God for enabling us to savely travel to Jinjja and back home.
